Exclamation 1986 Mustang GT with engine miss and hestiation! Bad EGR? Need help, thanks!!

Hi everyone, while cruising, my engine seems to miss, feels like a spark doesnt go off, its a full-msd ignition (6AL, coil) and I read that it could be the EGR because it doesnt happen when im a WOT. What you guys think??

I ran on 7 cylinders when I got this mustang for about 1 month, and didn't even know.
I took it to a guy to talk about fixing it up a bit. He listened to it, and said the first thing we have to do is get rid of the miss.
It was very apparent to his trained ear. He took some good spark plug wires, and tested what cylinders he thought it came from by pulling a plug wire, and changing it. I had allot more power afterwards. A wire was bad.

The egr has a diaphragm. The rubber could be damaged. EGR Systems: operation and diagnosis

thanks!!! Im so happy people are here to help!! yeah im sure im running on all cylinders because under WOT its good, but how, in case, should I check for a bad wire?? Should I get the longest one, make sure its good, and check the others?? And when the cars cold its fine, its when its warmed up when it starts to hesitate of normal throttle and load.. I will check to see if the EGR is clogged, whatever the problem is, ill let you know, but please keep giving your input.

Thanks!!

easiest way ive done it to check for a bad plug wire is to take 1 plug wire off at a time at the plug. if the idle changes the wire is good, if it does not change then the wire is bad.

<--- gotta do that when you get bit lol. no, the only time i got shocked was from an HEI dizzy from a chevy. it "shouldnt" shock you if you do it at the plug. i never got shocked on a ford "yet" lol. my egr valve kinda did what your describing but i unhooked it before it blew the diaphram so i couldnt tell you if that was my original prob or not. if you dont trust the ignition system enough to get shocked lol get a pair of leather gloves
