What oil are you guys using in tremecs. I was thinking either royal purple or sycromesh. Thanks

I would strongly recomend going with the manufactureres recomendations, at least for the first 5K miles to make sure everythign gets broken in they way they expect it to.

I have heard some horror stories of people changing fluids to one of the wonderour aftermarket ones in their street cars to only have disasterours results after 15-20K miles for one reason or another.

I am not sure if there is anything in the Tremec that would be subseptable to this, but I know the Toyota Supras were really bad for this.

Tremec requires GM Syncromesh only GM part #12345349. It is very expensive, Auto Zone has a knock off which is the same thing and is was if I remember 18 a bottle (the knock off).

gm syncromesh is correct, I bought it for $12.00 a quart at a chevy dealership. You need 3 quarts
