I would strongly recomend going with the manufactureres recomendations, at least for the first 5K miles to make sure everythign gets broken in they way they expect it to.
I have heard some horror stories of people changing fluids to one of the wonderour aftermarket ones in their street cars to only have disasterours results after 15-20K miles for one reason or another.
I am not sure if there is anything in the Tremec that would be subseptable to this, but I know the Toyota Supras were really bad for this.
