I have my mustang just about ready for mass air but I don't have the mass air. My father is offering me his stock mass air and injectors out of his 99 mustang gt. Is this set up plug and play or would I have to adapt it to my car in anyway? As usual all info is appreciated.

It is best if you are going from the old MAP to MAF to get the kit from a dealer like brother performance it has all of the info 24lb injectors cobra computer and the MAF. In the long run it is easier and is plug and play. If I am not mistaken the 99 and up injectors would require an adapter I believe the resistances are different between the years. Call a mustang distributor for the tech to make sure.

well i figured since its all free and i know the injectors will work from that year, but as far as the mass air goes I'd rather try to save a buck ya know.

try ebay and see if you can find the computer and wiring hareness. should be significantly less than a dealer and if you can get the right year then all you need is the maf. i would suggest going to a junkyard and trying to find an old 5.0 and try to get the comp and hareness, then buying a new maf. thats the first thing i would do. but 5.0's at the junkyard at least where i live are rare lots of 4cyls though
