I think you could use any balancer like the TCI Rattler, Romac, Fluidampr (which is what I run), they're all good. If it's for a street car, I don't think you'd need an SFI spec balancer, you'd just be paying more money. Depends on your choice but I think an upgrade wouldn't hurt.

Ask me why I ran "only" a 13.54.

I'd stay away from the OEM ones. They have rubber which wears out.
If I'm not mistaken, there are aftermarket ones, which are solid metal. That's what I'd get.
I've always liked the design of the Rattler though.

I use an SFI Approved Pioneer Balancer good to 13,200 RPMs.
Who ever spun a 5.0 up tp 13 grand?

Lol, noone, but the non-SFI was rated at like 6,300. And I might be spinning that thing up around 8k with the stroker kit. I went with the SFI approved for added security.
Ya I am going with an all steel Romac SFI approved balancer for my new motor. I would say for sure go with an all steel one, like meangreen stated, the rubber ones wear out. My Romac one was a little on the pricey side though, put me back $300 US. If you really wanted to go crazy they also make steel/aluminum balancers that save you 1-2 lbs for $100 more, what a deal . They probably are nice on a high rev race motor though, just another way to reduce the rotating mass.

Prolly either the fuel pump, or its relay, or even the EEC relay, which (I think) supplies power to the fuel pump relay.

meengreen. I got the one on thats under the seat wich i think is the pump relay. Do you know where the other ones located.
They're both under my Mass Air sensor. I know that the earlier ones had 'em under the seat. I'd think that they're both together, like they are on an under-the-hood application. My E250 had 'em together - under the hood. I'll bet they're both under the seat.
