Default WR AOD issues Trans guys i need your help.

ok so i just rebuilt my AOD into a WR-AOD. ive got a bauman valve body and shift kit tci input shaft and 3000 stall converter. it seems to upshift fine. but when i ask it to downshift aka put my foot down it seems to come out of gear and just free rev. i have to reduce my speed to maybe 20mph or so and i seem to have to drop the shifter into 1 and it will "grab" first and take off again.

that is most likely in your valvebody. valve sticking in the bore. did you torque the valvebody bolts to 89 inch pounds and all the bolts are in the right place? or you can try to bump up your tv pressure a little. i dont know what a 3k converter feels like but i have a feeling that will cause it to seem like its slipping too. try upping the tv pressure, and if that doesnt work, try putting in the stock vb.

you know what i don't know that i remember torquing the bolts on the valve body. also its definitively not the converter because the first time i did it i ran off the rev limiter before i realized it wasn't grabbing.

I agree it sounds like something to do with the valvebody. I have an AOD with a full manual VB and can tell you if you got one of the bolts in the wrong hole, because some are longer than others, that could do it, overtightening the bolts or a bad throttle valve cable could also affect the performance.

since my last post i pulled the trans and went through it to check everything to make sure it was right and pulled the valve body and had a local shop rebuild it. today i put the lopo governor on and it still skips second and doesnt have OD. its more driveable now because at normal throttle it will shift out of first and goes right into 3rd. at WOT it doesnt wanna shift out of first unless i let off the gas then it goes right into 3rd and if i floor it again it tries to go back into 1st.. but if i drop the shifter all the way down to the low position it goes into 2nd and i can rev it out in 2nd bump the shift and it goes into 3rd but no OD :-(

any suggestions on why it wouldn't upshift to 2nd and why there is no OD are these related in anyway?
