1986 5.0 Mustang GT Shoud I go with this 302 engine block?
Hi all, okay now I said before on another post that I was limited on money so I checked out Summit Racing for this very low priced engine block (link at the bottom). I know they carry quality parts so I am leaning heavily for this block, is it worth it? My engine is going to crap and I actually can't wait since I want more power anyways, this block I want to buy will actually be bored out to be a 331 and not the 347 stroker I wanted since it will last longer as a 331. I do plan on putting a twin turbo set up later on when I get the money. What do ya'll think...wise decision? Better than the blocks at Advanced Auto Parts I was thinking on getting though right? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku
DSS 331 stroker, AFR 185 heads, Performer rpm 2 intake, Accufab 75 mm race TB, 30lb injectors, 80 mm Pro-M mass air, Extreme energy cam 266.
Anderson ford power pipe the big one, Ford motor sport shorty headers, Bassani x pipe custom cat back with flows, World class T5, center force duel friction clutch.

Thanks for the input but their prices are a little steep for me, sorry. I'm not cheap but I do want quality. Any input on the summit racing block is greatly appreciated.

If you plan on putting a twin turbo set up on it good luck...That thing will crack like the liberty bell...

If you were going to wait til you had the money to do the twin turbo set up, I'd wait til you had some money to get a good block. As was said, that block will crack in half if you put a twin turbo set up on it.
That's a good site with some good pre-built short blocks. I'd highly advise looking into a Superpro or X block if you really want to twin turbo it.
If you just want to build a nice motor yea the Summit will work fine, but put any reasonable amount of Boost/Horsepower through it from a Twin Turbo set up and that block is done.
