Default Installing 65MM BBK throttle body on 1988 Mustang

I recently installed new valve cover gaskets on my 88 GT. This is my first ever project and I have ran into many problems. First off...I got the valve covers off and installed the gaskets. Driver side went back on fine...However, the passenger side has one bolt that will not engage no matter what I do. The bolt is not stripped and the threads in the hole do not appear to be. The gasket is lined up perfectly and is not restricting the bolt at all. Any suggestions?

Second. While putting the new throttle body on I broke a brittle line. It appeared to be some sort of airline or sensor line. It is white and approximately 1/4 inch thick running to a suacer looking piece next to the throttle body. Any suggestions on what this is and anyways to repair it?

Thanks for the time and will look forward to suggestions on what after market components I should start with as well.

Rob

ok valve cover first. sounds to me like there are diffrent length bolts holding valve cover on and you may have used the long bolt in the short hole. therefore the bolt is not long enough.. try measuring depth of hole and bolt u are using.. ok second sounds like you broke the egr vacuum line .. unplug line from egr go to auto parts store they have rolls of vacuum line and simply replace it.. follow other half see where it goes and buy correct length.. cost about 2 bucks... hope i helped you a little

Thanks. Can I get the rubber fittings that go from the line to the nipple at an auto parts store also?

Vacuum line is to the EGR, depends on wear the break is, if it was in or close to the emmission vacuum router(square looking plug with 4 outlets) you may be able to pull that broken piece out and re-insert it back in, happened to me when I went with a new TB. Pretty easy part to find at a auto parts store too.

Alright. Got the valve covers tightened. Got the EGR spacer on and the Throttle body on as well. The new problem is that the TB coolant line is in the way of the solenoid. Any suggestions on this? Do I need to buy an aftermarket SC solenoid in order for it to fit properly?

Thanks for ya'lls help.

Not sure what part you mean, describe it, and its location. If you can snap a pic, that would be great.
