When I start in the morning or when it's been sitting for a long time, it runs poorly. During the first 15 seconds it's fine, but then it starts to stumble, and the tach bounces around from 500-1100. It seems as if the timing is off during warm up. Then after about 4 minutes or so (depending on how cold it is outside) it goes from poor to perfect, easy to rev, idles right.
Further, I have determined that my car is running in open loop ALL THE TIME. After I've taken a long drive, I disconnect the MAF connector and it has no effect on the engine....it continues purring like a kitten. I've even gone as far as disconnecting the oxygen sensor harness while the car is running and also, no effect on the engine--the check engine light doesn't even come on for that.
I have checked for codes, and I get 67 and 95. Any ideas?
67 is the neutral switch, and 95 is a fuel pump code.
If you can make the computer think that the car is in park or neutral, you can also pull the Key On Engine Running codes.
Try holding the clutch down, then turning the key to run, and keep the pedal down. It might not throw the 67. If this is the case, keep the pedal down, and start the car. After about a minute or two, it should throw the Engine Running codes. Don't let the pedal back up, till it spits out the last engine running code.
Or you can jump the neutral switch circuit at the tranny.

I hope that KOER might give some useful information to solve this problem. I've got the AOD, however, how do I make the computer think that the car is in park??
Find the wires going to the neutral switch, and connect them. But I'm not sure if there is a separate switch for the neutral safety switch, and the computer's neutral switch.
