Default How does a 94/95 T5 Hold Up For Drag Racing?

Having a T5 (rated at 330 ft/lbs) dropped into the Mustang next week (current one broke).

Will also have a Billet Steel Flywheel, King Cobra Clutch Kit, and Aluminum Driveshaft.

Basically wondering how it will perform at the Drag strip and how much I'll have to baby it. It has the stock street tires on it but will get replaced with 18" Falken Radials sometime this summer (not drag slicks) and might have some suspension work done to it (Upper and Lower Arms, Springs, etc.)

The car is putting down just over 300 Ft/lbs of Torque at the wheels at the moment and will have a few mods done to it soon (Cam, Ignition, Upper/Lower Intake, Throttle Body) and I'm hoping for 320+ Ft/lbs of torque when it's done.

U want a trans to handle around 20-30% more than what u are running for that freak hard launch or hookup u should be ok but be careful u should not beat up on it too bad having power so close to the max range of the trans.

sounds weird, but my buddy has a 95, 310ftlb's, and his third gear went first too?? any specific reason why

3rd and fifth gear has the most range of motion and the syncros go through more hell than the other gears.
