im sorry if i ever sound repetative, all this stuff wont be done for a long time, so i have a while to think about exactly what i want, and i dont want to end up changing my mind after i install the part.
also, will a stock t-5 hold up to the power i would be making? i suppose not, so what would be a good route transmission wise?
suspension wise, what parts would you suggest?
i'd like to do the 5 lug conversion, where did you guys get the kits at?
The T-5 you have listed is either 285 or 300 ft/lbs of torque. Not sure which.
Don't drop it at 5 grand, let the motor do the work, and don't power shift and it'll be fine. I make 330+ ft/lbs at the motor and have no issues with mine (330 ft/lbs rated from a 94/95).
I'd say you are around 320 or so Engine HP, that's a big ball park guess tho. The 30# injectors are way oversized for your current application. 255 will be fine, you have a return style system, correct?
Suspension.. what is the goal? Drag racing or Autocross or Road Racing? Want it to still be stock like feel or feel every bump?
Transmission wise... depending on your goal:
TKO 500 or 600: 500 or 600 ft/lbs rated
Viper T56: 650 ft/lbs rated, 6 speed
How much money do you want to dump in it? Hell if you are about done just toss a supercharger on it and call it done. Kenne Bell with 8 psi and you're good to go.
I have a 255 Lph BBK Pump, 19# Injectors, and an FPR. 250-260ish Engine HP without a head swap. Here's a quick run down on my plan over the next 2-3 years for some ideas: Built All Aluminum Ford Racing 302 Block (Used from NASCAR) with new all Forged internals 331 CID, AFR 185s, DSS Max Quench ProXR Pistons, Kenne Bell Blowzilla @ 18 psi, 125 Shot Dry Kit OR Methanol/Water Injection, Siemens 60# Injectors, Viperspec T56 w Zoom Stage 4 Clutch and Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel, Moser 9" Rear with 33 spline axles and a Auburn Locker. I *WANT* to make 600+ rwhp with my Mustang eventually, and things I'm doing now are laying the foundation for it.

well i guess i should probably state the goal of my car.
right now, i have a 78 cobra II with a 5.0 drivetrain. i plan on either purchasing a fox body and putting in my current 5.0 drivetrain, or buying a fox with a 5.0 in it, then modifying. i dont want to modify so much as to where i severly sacrifice comfort or ease of driving to performance. i want to modify enough to be able to beat ls1's that have some modification. (i have respect for ls1's, but also a hatred towards them)
my car will be daily driven, and hardly ever taken to the track, maybe a few times during a year to get times and be able to beat the piss out of it without fear of the cops.
i do plan on street racing, of course, so i was planning on a suspension setup that allows for maximum grip on the street without making my car unbearable to drive daily, or to the opposite sex. im not fond of the cornering stuff, so i hope that helps with some suggestions. im totally clueless when it comes to the suspension stuff.
will #24 injectors work better?
my goal for my transmission would pretty much be enough to get the job done. i was wondering if they made like, a rebuild kit or something for a t-5 that would beef it up. say i make 350ft'lbs of torque, i want to get a 400ft/lbs transmission, not no 600ft/lbs transmission.
if anybody has AIM, feel free to hit me up on that, my aim name is innervision600

you could get away with keeping the 19's but yes 24 would be ideal. 30's are way to big for the setup. honestly i agree i think 315 to 320 at the crank is where you would be. with that set up pending the condition and build of the motor you adding to. If your sticking new heads on it you might as well have it rebuilt at least with a set of forged pistons for any future upgrades, blower so on.

Parts in the basement : To much to list. heres a hint..it involves a watts link and turbos.
I didnt see a throttle body in that list, that is the only issue that I saw. I cant remember off the top of my head what size of the opening on the TW intake manifold is, maybe 65/70mm.
And Damn thats one hell of a build plan Cnumartyr, good luck and where are u plannin on buying that block from?
the track heat intake says it has a throttle body bore diameter of 75mm. i take it thats not the thorttle body though, and ill have to get one of those?
If the throttle body bore on the intake is 75mm than you want to get a TB that is about 76mm. You can go a little bigger but then you might have to smooth out the lip that will be there between the TB and the intake manifold. It is not critical but it would help with air flow. You will want all of the intake pieces to match up in diameter as closely as possible. That is why you always hear "bigger is not always better" It is more important to have parts that match up well
As far as the top end kit for a 331, I would think that it would still be good. I am not that experienced with strokers so some one else might have a better answer or experience with them.

I get the block from a local shop. They come across them once or twice a year from a NASCAR supplier. Used with minor damage (bad cylinder sleeve, spun bearing) and are easily repaired, and cost about 600 bucks. Doing the suspension/brakes/Prostars with MT slicks/base upgrades to get things ready this year (plus putting Nitrous on my 302 to have some fun and get into the 12s for now).
When they come across a block I'll get that and have it sitting and build it from the ground up as I get time and money for it. Then next year will be a full drivetrain.
is that trickflow top end kit suitable for a 331 stroker?
if i went with a 331 stroker, what would i need then? what would my horsepower be?
All it does is increase the cubes a bit. Not sure off the top of my head on HP numbers out of a stroked 302, but with the TF heads and a stroker kit I'd say like 360-400ish motor.. ballpark.
For the 331 stroker you'd just have to look making sure it gets enough fuel and that's about it. There's nothing else unless you want to make big power. Then you want to get Forged stuff... but the stock block will be under a lot of stress anyways if you start talking 600+ horsepower.

I vote for the G Force tranny. Lighter weight than the Tremec and also has gear ratio options where the Tremec doesn't. The TFS top end kit does work on a 331, you'll have really snappy throttle response with it. You should go with a 75mm TB, 75/76mm MAS and the 24's. You could go with a full MSD ignition like the 6A/6AL, billet distributor and coil.

Ask me why I ran "only" a 13.54.

Another reason I'm looking at the A-five is the gearing-1st won't wind out so fast (2.95 vs 3.35) and the O/D is even deeper,to help cut down the highway RPMs
