i have a 1987 mustang gt conv. i have another post it wont start, the fuel pump does not stop running with the key on, i got it to start the other day and it was runnin extremely rich and had a miss to it, shut it off and would not start again. now when you turn key on the relay under seat goes nuts sometimes and the sensor under the hood behind pass side strut tower with the vacume lines on it makes noise sort of like the starter selonid does when the batt is dead, and there is a hissing sound coming from the pass side fuel rail, and once in a while it trys to start, some one told me it might be the eec, my other question is on the other computer i have for it there is no a9l sticker on it i need to know if it is for speed density. the # and letters read, F9H03 EEC-IV *781* 9H022 8CC EFI-SD8A E8TF-12A650-CU3A. some one told me that they did not start mass air till 89 and 88 on california cars, the only part i can figure out is the e8= 1988, and also will a mass aif comp work in a speed density car. thanks

im kinda confused? i finaly found that code on your pcm 8cc that out of a 2.3l mustang , do you have this in a 5.0? if so it wont work . big g

no its not in the car it came with some stuff that came with it, was just wondering what it was out of

never mind i figured it out the comp is a da1 and the one in the car was fried and thats why it wouldnt start
