My 1991 Mustang 5.0 LX has become wrecked. I purchased a 1992 Mustang convertible with a seized 4 cylinder. I am going to be placing my 1991 5.0 liter and AOD transmision into the 1992 Mustang. I am curious if I can just plug in the computer from the 1991 into the 1992's wire harness, then plug the 5.0 liters harness into the 4 cylinders harness that comes out from the fire wall. I am just trying not to have to take the dashes apart and pull wiring. Thank you for your time.

from what i understand is, i know you cant use the 2.3 harness at pcm,92-93 5.0 harnesses are the same they will plug into the 2.3 at right kick panel passengers compartment, i heard that you can use the 90-91 5.0 harness in a 92-93, check you right kick panel pcm harness plugs , may be minor diff, i need a 92-93 5.0 pcm harness,any for sale?? big G

No I don't have any for sale. The plugs look the same, just not sure if the wires perform same functions. Thanks for you input.

I would be very carefull doing that.even if the plugs are the same the pins in the plug could lead to different areas of the computer.
research it very well before you try.I know the 5.0L computers from 90 to 93 are the same.

i would do yourself a favor pull your harness save a lot of headachs just to be sure
