hi, i have been looking for some heads for a little while now, and i have found several but i dont know how to interprate the numbers im being given. what am i looking for in a good flowing head? also, i have 2 options on my plate as of now, a set of ported and polished factory heads, or a set of GT40P heads. will the gt40's outflow a set of ported and polished factory heads, i beleive E7's.
also here is a quick quote from the description, what do these numbers mean to me??
White 1991 GT Convertible - 1993 Cobra Motor Swap (363rwhp)
Black 2004 SVT Cobra - Chip n Tune w/ Goodies (488rwhp)
Green 1994 Explorer - Daily Driver, Ol' Faithful (317,000mi)
GT40 p's are cast, but still are better than the E7's. As for the 60 cc = chamber volume, 2.05 is the intake valve size/ 1.6 exhaust size. 210 should be intake runner volume, check to make sure they are not X castings or Y castings if they are alluminum.
I would try to find a head that has 64 cc chambers, 1.94 intake/1.6 exhaust for a street driver. Yes alluminum transfers heat better and you ussually can run alittle more timing without detenation.
the heads i found are the gt40's but the info i quoted where just random heads i found just as an example, the heads i am going to buy are cast. ill post a link below to the ebay auction.. thanks for the info on all the numbers tho!!!

hey, i know this is a bit offtopic, but i want to try to avoid making another thread for something that seems to me like a dumb question. someone told me today i need to basically take the motor apart agian to put my new cam in, am i better off leaving my upper/lower off and the heads as well while i install my new cam? or was this guy just smoking crack when he was tellin me this stuff. i really dont have a clue. i thought it was just, water pump and timing goodies need to come off the front of the motor to get the cam out.?
