Default 1995 Mustang GT LED Brake Light, 2 LEDs stating on

hello all!
I recently installed a new third brake light on my 1995 mustang GT. it is an LED strip and looks great! one problem is, the last two LED's on the right side never turn off when the key is turned to on. When the car is off the lights turn off just fine, but when the key is in the on position, only the last two LED bulbs are lit up. When the brake lights are pressed, all LED's turn on like they're supposed to. I've tried everything I can think of. I even tried pulling all of the fuses to see where the power was coming from. Only one fuse affected the light and even then they only dimmed, but didn't turn off. I am completely out of ideas as to why they will not turn off. Also, my tail lights, which also have new LED bulbs, have the same problem. While they stay on whenever the key is on, they are VERY dim. When the third brake light is unplugged, the tail lights get stronger. The tail lights go out when a fuse is pulled, but the 3rd brake light stay shining. I really don't know what else to do and would really like to keep my LED's. so if anyone has any suggestions, it would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!

Sounds like a weak or missing ground. Try to find the wire(s) coming from the taillight harness, which are fastened to the body by a screw. Maybe pull the screw, and clean the contact surfaces, and reattach.
Do the tails stay on when the third brakelight is unplugged?
