Default Can I put a 1995 t5 mustang transmission in a 1990 mustang

I chewed up the input shaft on my transmission the front bearing went out. I couldn't find a correct year t5 around here for less than $500 bucks so I picked up a 1995 transmission for 110, I know that the 1995 is alittle longer, and the clutch fork location is different on the bell housing, but is any of this really a problem? I have searched all over the internet and the only thing i found was to swap out the input shaft and bellhousing. My input shaft is trashed and I really can afford to spend to much more money on it. Can I not just use this transmission and maybe shorten my drive shaft by half an inch or so? I'm just looking for options and a explanation as to why I cannot use this transmission if thats the case. Thanks,

you can use that trans, but your shifter location will be in the wrong place for a fox mustang. possibly have to cut holes.

Will i have to cut down the driveshaft? its only about 1/2"-5/8" difference correct? would I be making a terrible mistake doing this?

i wouldnt do it. i want to say you can use a driveshaft from an sn95 but im not sure. not to mention you will have your shifter sitting further back in the car, have to cut the floorboard, and possibly interfere with the stock console.
