Can I put a 1995 t5 mustang transmission in a 1990 mustang I chewed up the input shaft on my transmission the front bearing went out. I couldn't find a correct year t5 around here for less than $500 bucks so I picked up a 1995 transmission for 110, I know that the 1995 is alittle longer, and the clutch fork location is different on the bell housing, but is any of this really a problem? I have searched all over the internet and the only thing i found was to swap out the input shaft and bellhousing. My input shaft is trashed and I really can afford to spend to much more money on it. Can I not just use this transmission and maybe shorten my drive shaft by half an inch or so? I'm just looking for options and a explanation as to why I cannot use this transmission if thats the case.
