Question What tire size is the best for my application?

Hey guys whats up. Seeing that the nice weather is coming around its time to start paying attention to the stang again. In less then a month my car is going to the shop and getting a custom paintjob and with the leftover money i plan on buying a new set of rear tires for my 15x10 welds.Ok so the tires i have on my rear set of welds are nitto 275/50/r15 drag radial tires. My rear has been modified a bit which has steeda upper and lower control arms, no quad shocks, a new 8.8 rear and lakewood 50/50s. My fender wells have already been rolled since i had slight rubbing with my nittos. Now im looking to go with a mickey thompson et drag radial and i want the widest tire i can go with as well as the tallest.right now i think my tire is 26" tall.Do you think i can get a 315/60-15 under the rear fender without any problems? Right now i dont have any rubbing but i want a taller tire.A buddy of mine said get atleast a 28 inch tall tire under their and itll help you out alot. What would you guys reccomend for me? remember this is a 15x10 weld draglite. let me know what you guys think. Thanks

I guess it would all depend on the offset of the wheels. With a 10 inch wide wheel you need a big tire like the 315/60/15 ET street radial. I just don't know if you'll have enough rooom for that monster tire. If you wanted a 28 inch tall tire then maybe the 325/50/15 would be better. Here's a couple links:Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial Tires: MTT-3763R - summitracing.com Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial Tires: MTT-3757R - summitracing.com I have 275/50/15 on my 89, but I think the offset on the 15x8 welds is 5.5 instead of 4.5 so I had to beat the crap out of the inner fender well and they still rub going around corners. I know they make more sizes for the regular ET street...like this one Mickey Thompson ET Street Tires: MTT-3755 - summitracing.com good luck..

Hey man thanks for getting back to me, right now with my 275/50/15 i dont have any rubbing or anything like that because i had to roll my fender wells. If i do with the 325/50/15 thats a 28 inch tall tire? will it be as wide as the tire i have on their now?I dont want any tire less then what i have now just taller. all opinions are welcome. thanks
