Default Coolant Line That Connects Heads?

DO I REALLY NEED THE COOLANT HARD LINE THAT CONNNECTS THE HEADS IN THE BACK ON STOCK HEADS? GOING TO A SET OF GT-40 HEADS AND LOOKS LIKE PREVIOUS PERSON DON'T USE THEM. JUST WONDERING IF IT WOULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE IF I DID OR DID NOT GO BACK WITH IT.

I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong-but that hard line across the back from head to head is not a coolant line,it has to do with the EGR stuff. And no,you don't have to have it if you are deleting the emissions equipment. If you don't use it you'll need to plug the holes with these or something similar:

The tube that connects to the rear of each cylinder head is to inject air into the exhaust ports. It is connected to the Thermactor air pump.
