My stang was a 5-spd T-5 trans 4 cyl. but i am swapping it to a 3-spd C4 trans 351 windsor. i didn't feel like spening $200.00 on a race shifter and i heard that the stockers were decently good. so i went to a junkyard and out of a 1990 mustang lx hatch, 4 cyl......i took out the automatic shifter.

my question is will this shifter work on my C4 tranny? the shifter has 1, 2, 3, and then overdrive. since overdrive is not needed for a C4 tranny (i dont think) will this shifter be a problem?

C4s have manual 1, 2 then D i believe. see if you can get one from an early 4 eye fox.

will it still work tho? like i am only going to be using it for about 2 months before a get enough money for a B & M race shifter
