Question Help...dash and tail lights out

I am experiencing a problem with my 95 convertible GT that I am hoping one of you can help me with. Two days ago, I noticed that my dash (gauge) lights went out. I tried adjusting the dimmer switch, but no luck. When I turn the dimmer all the way, the interior lamps do come on. The lights for the buttons on the radio are also out. Then, yesterday, I noticed that my tail lights are also out. But my headlights, brake lights, and turn signals work. I checked the fuses that correspond to my dash lights, but they are good.

Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

Its a bad switch, all ford headlight switches are notorious for going bad. Just get a new one from Ford.

Thanks!! It seems odd that the switch would only affect the dash lights and the tail lights. How difficult is it to replace the switch? Any idea on the cost of the switch?

one night i was out and my switch went. killed all lights while was doing 45 down this old road.
man i almost needed a new pair of shorts...lol.
possibly could be a corroded terminal on the switch or even a bad connector. check it out never know.

I'd check your fuses again except with maybe a meter or a test light. Sometimes they can go...yet you can hardly see their break. Also..did you check ALL your fuses? I think with the SN95 there are some fuses under the hood. Did you recently put a new radio in or something like that? Just some options...aren't the switches expensive from Ford?
