Yea I know there is a few differences and if you run an auto you need the A9P. But heres the deal. I recently bought a 92 GT that has a ton of mods. The car has over $3k in chassis and suspension mods, 01 Cobra brakes and wheels, custom paint, etc... The door tag has been painted over because the custom paint job runs through the door jams. By the vin all I can tell is its a real GT. By looking at the small brake pedal and looking and floor from uner car shifter area has a metal patch. I pulled the passenger kick panel and there I have an A9L. The story I got from the previous owner was the car used to have a built 347 and blower, but he knew little else about the history of it. It now has a stock engine with full exhaust, big cam and an auto. But it starts and drives ok for a big cam with stock converter. I have read that a A9L can be used with an auto if you change the 02 wiring harness. How can I confirm this? BTW the car is from Indiana.
