I've searched the forums a little and can't seem to find much info on my exact setup. I've got an 86' Lx with a 93' Cobra rear end and running SN95 axles, brakes, etc (basically Sn95 rearend). I'm planning on using 98GT 17" x 8 wheels and I'm guessing I can run at least a 255 in the back without removing the quad. shock. Anyone have a similar setup using a wider tire? I can remove the quad. because I have tubular control arms but I'd prefer to keep it.

Thanks!

You can run a 275 tire with no issues on the quads I'm pretty sure.

Get some tubular lower control arms and toss those paper weight quad shocks in the garbage and you won't have to worry about them.
