Arrow Has anybody ever dealt with central coast Mustang before?

I'm thinking of buying a new 327 or 342 Shortblock crate motor from them for my 84' Convertible. The price for both engines are the same; $2595. Does that sound like a reasonable deal? It sounds good to me, and it seems to have good parts. Here's the description:

Ford block, Scat stroker kit (roller rockers, JE forged pistons, steel billet flywheel, new dampner, balanced) x-303 cam and lifters, multi-indexed timing chain. Add main girdle installed for $239. Note: add $450 for forged 4340 crank and 4340 H-beam rods. Add low compression pistons for $190.

Should I get the optional forged parts? Does anybody have any Idea how much HP this could produce? My guess is from 350-370. I could be wrong though.

Oh, and what are the pros and cons of either setup, the 327 or the 342? Which should I get?

I have a ccm 327 they are great.I was working with dave they are very knolagable. The 327 will rev a little higher then the 342 but if I had to do it over again I would get the 342. Tell them Brian from tynans vw said whats up.

definatly get the forged pistons and rods...crank isnt that big of a deal. pistons at least. just remember if you add nitros or suppercharger the pistons will be peace of mind.

I use to work at CCM and you will be very happy with the engine! Go with the forged parts and then there will be no questions in the future to how much your engine can handle.

Default CCM Contact??

Hey,

Do any of you know how I can get ahold of Central Coast Mustang? I can't get their website to load, and I called their number (805) 925-8848 which says it's disconnected. I'm interested in finding out info on their GT40 P heads/long block. Thanks for the help.
