Default Long term storage suggestions

Hello Everybody,

I'm about to ship out for 6 to 8 months and was wondering what is the best way to store my Mustang. Do I drain the oil and fuel? I know to put it on cinder blocks. What about the trans and diff? All the fluids have recently been changed within 5k miles with synthetic. Thanks for any suggestions.

It's simple really. Just make sure you at least put fuel stabilizer in the tank and disconnect you battery. You could just fill up the tires to 45psi instead of putting it up on blocks. Finally i would cover it up with perferably an outdoor type car cover and make sure it is secured well so the wind won't blow it off.

6 to 8 months is not that long really. Heck car dealers have stock that sit longer than that, and they don't do a thing to them.

I would also drip about an oz of oil in each of the cylinders through the spark plugs. Then turn the car over without ignition and fuel pressure. This will coat the rings and not let them dry out.

Bring it on over to my house and I'll make sure the tires never go flat and gas is filled frequent. Heck we can even discuss my fee after i install a loaner Nitrous kit while you're gone. Sound good?
