Default Headlight switch problem on a fox?!

I have a customer with a fox GT. His headlights are not working anymore and I remember hearing something about a problem with the foglights screwing them up. Any info on this? He's driving with no headlights right now. Thanks guys!

Usually the headlight switch overloads and melts when both sets of lights are on alot.
REmove both swithces from the dash and check the headlight switch. Hopefully its only the swithc and not the harness you need to replace.

Default My headlights dont work except for the brights

My headlights had been working ok.But then i brought the car into the shop to get some work done to it and then they were not working. I have the lighting to my gauges hooked up to the headlight switch. So could the extra load on the wiring be the same problem as the fog light problem that you are referring to?Just trying to figure out why this happened. Thanks

i bet its a faulty headlight switch. i lost mine one night driving down a back road. all most had to get a new pair skivvies...lol. i went and ripped my speaker wires off my subs and wired the flasher back so id have rights (Brights) till i got home. check out the switch. try to find local buddy you can try his switch. id start there.

well i tried a new switch that i got off an 89 lx 4 cyl and it has the top prongs for the headlight switch and it has the lower 2 prongs that are not used but my original didnt have those 2 prongs on the lower portion of the switch i guess that is where the foglights would go if it was a gt?I dont see why there is a difference.
