Default i have an exhaust x pipe question

is it true if you go with an offroad x pipe u can loose boost because of back pressure. My h pipe rotted out and i need one for my turbo mustang an suggestions

I doubt you'd lose any more boost than you would with an H pipe. I know it's more efficient than the H but not enough to drop boost numbers. But if it does, that doesn't mean it's a bad thing, it just means you've improved the exhaust side enough that the pumping of the engine is more efficient. Boost is a measure of resistance of the airflow through the engine.

thanx for the help man so ill go with the x pipe does it matter if its catted or not i heard u loose boost with no cats that was more of my question my bad about mixing up the two pipe shapes

an x-pipe with no cats is what i would run.

yes it is,we do alot of turbo vehicles at my shop.make sure you install some good mufflers.

wuts a good exhaust to go from the x pipe i was thinkin the slp loud mouth i like the sound of it but another questionn whos a goood company for x pipes and is the slp a good set up tell me ur oponion for the xpipes and back

i prefer the Basani X front pipe,since you are turbo,i suggest a chambered muffler over a straight through design.in my opinion this will be a great system for power and provide enough backpressure for turbo.

for a turbo car i suggest 40 series flowmaster,CherryBombs chambered muffler,basically any good quality chambered muffler.the only time i suggest a straight through design is when you are pushing alot of boost and kicking over 450 hp.

well i dynoed my car the other day and i threw down 586 at the wheels so should i go with the slp strait thru system
