Hope you upgraded and got the copper header gaskets. If you are going to be retaining all of the smog stuff..... Climb under your car and start spraying the smog tube and any other bolts you can get to. PB Blaster works great or KROIL if you can find it.
Do your drivers side first.... Thats the hardest to get to. Also a little suggestion for what its worth.... Get yourself the allen head header bolts, makes your life a lot more simple. Put your front and back bolt in finger tight, drop your gasket down there and go to town.
I unhooked my x-pipe and dropped the steering to bring my drivers side header straight up. It turned out soooo easy!!

I didn't get the Allen head bolts and have regretted it ever since. It is a biotch to get an open or closed end on those suckers! Allen would have been great!!

PATIENCE!!!! Take your time, get the copper header gaskets, tighten the bolts up from inside out. I have full length headers which are practically impossible to install without a lift. but the stock headers were simple to take out. If you have an air ratchet that will make getting the bolts out and back in easier. but when their snugged down after install then hand tighten them FROM THE INSIDE OUT. Start your car and let them heat up and then tighten them again. Trust me you'll be tightening header bolts for a while. and the passenger side is the hardest to do not the drivers side! LoL trust me I went through all this myself. I do love the full length headers, BBK makes very good products especially their headers!!! Good luck
LoL the passenger side has all the EGR stuff and and just other hoses and stuff in the way... Even when removing the stock headers the drivers side was easiest! I guess it's all individual perspective, Coke and Pepsi thing maybe.

Well said my friend!!

Thanks again guys! It is so funny, I am old enough that this should be no big deal, But I can't wait for the package to arrive. I feel like a five year old waiting for Christmas morning. I guess that's why I do it. I get a kick out of it and it makes me feel alive.
Thanks for all the input. I will take out the old manifolds Thursday and then wait for the package to arrive. It is supposed to be snowing and cold so it will be a good day to work in the garage.
