There's a rear end decoder in the 5.0 tech section for this, maybe that'll help you.

The 8l2t/3l2t is not correct. Neither is the sa05.

It is probably 3L27 and 5A05 respectively.

it probably reads 3L08 which would be a 3.08:1 rear gear ratio. the L stands for locker.
you wrote auto. the optional gear for a '95 gt auto would have been a 3.27:1 . the standard gear was a 2.73:1. the manual equipped cars could have gotten a 3.08 as an option. from your description of the tag, it's a 3.27: equipped car

well i checked tonight with a flash light and it is 3.27 equiped was this a rare option?
would it be worth stepping up to a 3.73 or going straight to 4.10 this car never sees the highway
and has for locker your refering to the trac lok correct standard posi? sorry im still new to mustangs

A no-cost optional gear ratio is not "rare".

L = Traction-Lok differential

If the sa05 you typed is actually 5A05, it was built on January (A) 5th (05), 1995 (5).
