1994 Mustang GT 5 speed, stock. Does Dyno-Tuning Help??
Hello,
I have made a few mods (Bolt ons) to my '94 GT such as shorty headers, cold-air kit, super 44 mufflers, X-pipe, 4.30 gears (on 20"s), throttle body, underdrive pulley.
My question is: will a dyno-tune help me? I've been told that dyno-tunes really help if you're running a chip! Is that true? Any help is appreciated!

A dyno tune will only really make a difference if you do H/C/I mods coupled with larger injectors. Since you only have external bolt-ons and a stock long block, I don't think you should bother at this stage.
I'm with Bullitt95, for what you would spend for a full-on dyno tune I do not think it would be worth it at this stage in the game.
You would probably pick up a few tenths (at most) in the quartermile.
Things I would do for your car would be removing the tipin retard, advancing the spark (if you want to run 93 octane), leaning it out a tad to about 12.8:1 at wide open throttle (factory is low 12s).
You can manually turn the dizzy 3-4 degrees and get somewhat of the same effect, not nearly as precise however but for free.
I would imagine a set of drag radials would help you the most w/ the 4.30 gear and T5. Nitto makes some in your size.

You would get some benefit with it as is but that's something best kept for when you get past the normal bolt ons. You get into high flow intakes, heads, cams, then you'd definately do good to get one.

Ask me why I ran "only" a 13.54.

I agree w/ the above, that dyno tuning is probably not worth the money right now. But, the cool thing is that with your mods, a custom chip can be burned for you. What would help you make more power is an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and advanced timing.
