Default 1994 Mustang Cobra, Lowering Springs question

I bought a set of Eibach Pro-kit springs fro my 94 Cobra. It looks a 4 wheel drive from the factory. I had heard that using rubber isolators with the springs will lower the car 1.5 " and if I use urethane isolators it will only lower the car 1". Does anybody have an opinion on this. I prefer the urethane because of the improved handling but this car needs to be needs at least 1.5" lower. thanks

As far as the isolators are concerned, I used the factory isolators on my car. I don't have Eibach springs (Steeda) but I will say the Eibachs my dad put on his 98 GT lowered the car more than they said it would. His car was lowered right at 2" with the isolators in. I would put them in with the factory isolators and see what it looks like.

A 1.5 inch drop is quite a bit in terms of looks. I would suggest the springs and the urethane isolators, they'll settle down and you'll most likely like the stance.

Eagle's got it as usual. Once it settles in you'll be sitting at a nice height without any future problems. The ride height of my front end in my avatar pic was with bbk progressive rate springs with a coil taken out and the o.e. isolators. Yeah the roof level was lower than a vette's and it was fine at first but once it settled in i trashed my inner fenders and had to swap the springs out.

I have a 94 Cobra that I just recently put FRRP "B" springs in and I used the factory isolators. It lowered it about .75 in the rear and about 1.5 in the front after it settled in. They ride pretty good and it definitely look 100% better.

I'm also using the FRPP "B" springs. They are repackaged Eibach springs. Mine settled out with about and 1.5" drop in the front and 1" in the rear. The ride was the biggest inprovement. Nice ride when driving easy and tightens right up when you push it. Before and after pics included.

i went with intrax to replace my worn out bbk's in front. they look and feel alright. they aren't as low as my chopped ones but they ride much better. they are more of a quick fix until i can tear into it and do a coilover conversion. the rear bbk's are just starting to go so i might swap them out with the rear intrax's i've got sitting around still. infact, that might be a project for this week. hell i'm already tearing off the dash to get to the heater core so why not add an easier to-do to the list. i'll let you guys know how they work out if i do it. back to dave's question though... i think you'll be pleased either way you go on the isolators because once it settles it'll look nice. just be sure to use some or you'll regret it.
