Default 1995 Mustang GT TPS issue?

I have a 1995 Mustang GT with a few things done to it, CAI, gears, FPR, full exhaust, Walbro 255, SCT chip. It has been acting really weird lately, hopefully someone can help shed some light as to why...

For a while now it has this issue where if I am cruising at about 2000 RPM, it will stutter and die, just for a brief second, most times. It has on a few occasions dies, and takes some cranking to get going again. This is a small issue, what really puzzles me is last night...

I am driving home, pull onto the interstate, when all of a sudden the car stutters then dies for a second then comes back to life. On the drive home, which is no more than a few miles the throttle acts like an on/off switch...its either going or not. I was also noticing a VERY erratic idle. To top it all off, within this trip...which couldn't be more than 15 mile...I go through 1/4 tank of gas!!!! I just filled up earlier that afternoon, and had a full tank...I was watching the fuel gauge drop!

It through a CEL/MIL, but when I hooked it up to the scanner this afternoon, all I got was a 111 ( all systems pass ) any idea what could cause this?

I can only think of the TPS...any other recommendations?

Thank you!!

need to make sure its a electrical or fuel problem. check your cap, rotor, plugs and wire. if that check ok, have your ignition coil checked. Have the fuel pump pressure checked and see how much pressure is there. those are some starting point. Good luck.

Sounds like ignition to me, the Hall Effect sensor failing would cause that same exact problem.

Hall Effect sensor causing excessive fuel consumption? I normally would think ignition, but the fuel consumption has me thinking it is something else...
