Default 1994 Mustang GT dies while driving

I was in another state on my way home when my car suddenly starts dying while i'm doin 65 and the first thing to pop into my head is hit the gas a bit. It tried to fight but just steadily dropped until it dead completely. The strange thing is i can crank it up right after it does it but it'll cut right back off. The longer i wait to crank it the longer it'll stay cranked. It never happens until around about an hour of straight driving on I-95 or a lot of running around in town for a while. I NEED SUM HELP!!! What in the world is wrong with this car.... Give me some ideas...

2nd problem-

After i've drivin the car for a little bit and i take my foot off of the pedal a strange hummin noise that gets louder and louder happens along with a vibration somewhere near where my air filter is....
Help!!!

When's the last time you change the spark plugs, fule filter, full tune up? When have you cleaned the air filter last? I'd might look at your "mas" to see if the sensor is dirty.

just a few thing I thought of.

Spark Plugs- about a year ago
Fuel Filter- haven't changed either of them to my knowledge
Air Filter- a little over a year ago
Full Tune up- LMAO its been a while but exactly what does a full tune up entail?

I'll check the Mas and see what i can see....

plugs,

maybe the fule filter ( depends where you go it might be included)
Air filter
maybe a belt ( that wouldnt be for this problem)
Check the break pads and rotor

Let us know if that helps, hopefully it isn't a more in depth problem.

I had a similar problem on my 94gt 5.0. after it died I had it towed to my mechanic. He spent almost a hole day trying to figure why it would not run for more than a few min. I was going over all my suspicions and info Ihad from this forum and my manual. It turned out to be the pickup coil in th distributor. I have read others have had problems with this pickup.

One problem solved... and another one discovered i have a leak somewhere... which is making my mas vibrate and make that humming noise... and the smog pump is in need of replacement...

That and someone has done a number to that car.... I was lookin under my oil cap and there is a little pipe that runs from there to the mas and... it doesn't reach all the way.. -_- someone put a little elbow there and clamped the elbow so it would stay.

That hose from under the oil cap should be going to the throttle body, not to the MAS. That would contaminate the mass air element, causing it to run rough and kill the power.
