All the suspension pieces off V8 models are interchangable. You could find a set of 99+ cobra brakes to put on that badboy. I have 2002 brakes on our fox using 95 mustang spindles and cobra rear caliper mounting brackets and rear cobra rotors.
To do the cobra brake system these are the parts you will need:
Cobra front calipers from a 99+ so you dont have to trim the spindals
13" Cobra rotors
Front brake lines (I think your will work but I am not sure) If you want SSbraided lines I can make get those for you, the rear also.
Rear cobra caliper mounting brackests
Rear cobra rotors (the calipers are the same on the rear as the cobra)
You can get the Rear Rotors from Advanced Auto for $30-35 each and you can find the rest of the parts on eBay for real cheap if you take you time looking. I did the whole brake system for less than $500 including the front spindles
For the sway bars:
Check out Granatelli motorsports for almost all of your suspention needs, they have really nice stuff and the performance is real good.
As for replacement brake lines, I think that they are just real dirty to be honest unless someone jacked up the car right on the brake lines like they did on my car. If you need to repair them the make sure you buy the High end Snap-on or other high end brand brake flairing tools to ensure that they dont leak. the one that they have at AutoZone suck for begining users and you will spend a lot of time chasing down leaks. You can get all the fitting and Brake Line Nuts that you need at Advanced Auto or AutoZone for pretty cheap.
Good Luck and tell your son to be safe and watch his back. Tell him thanks also from all of us here on AFM.com for making the world a better place. I know I wish I could be right there too but they dont let gimps fight in wars! lol
