Should I Trade my 1995 Mystic Mustang GT for a 1999 Black Mustang Cobra
Would it be a ok deal if I traded my 1995 Mystic GT with 86,500 miles and is mostly stock except for the mods in my sig. but anyway this guy has a 1999 Black on Black Cobra with a bad motor (not shure exactly whats wrong with it yet) but only 23,000 miles on it and he want 5500 not shure what mods it has yet besides the black GT500 stlye wheels.
My question is if thats a good deal should I trade my car for it and is my car worth it?

Well first off its hard to find a mystic cobra in good condition these days. They are pretty rare right? And i wouldnt buy this guys car with the bad engine. Not really a good sign, never buy somebody else's problems. If ya wanna different car, there are plenty of stang in good condition out there.

well im not sure if your 95 is real mystic cobra, if im not mistaking the mystic option was only available on the 97 or 98 4.6L models, but either way, if your current car is running good, don't trade it off for a bad motor, i mean all 95s that i know of have a 5.0 or a 3.8, and since its a gt that definatly means its a 5.0 unless you swapped the drivetrain, so no i would not... 5.0 parts are a helluva lot cheaper than the 4.6s esp. if your talking in teh ball park of a cobra!

Not worth it in my opinion. Like everyone else has said, you don't know what ALL is wrong with the car...
Plus 5.0's and 4.6s are two different worlds. The 4.6s are more expensive to mod and a lot harder to work on. You gotta think if you can trade your cars straight out, you'll still probably have to fork out some dough to get that engine working properlly.

I know i've had second thoughts but i still want to look at it and find out exactly whats wrong with the motor.
And my car is a 1995 GT NOT a Cobra it just has mystic paint.
But thanks for tha advice anyway

take the money you would probably spend on the cobra motor, put it into your '95. dollar for dollar you'll end up with a sweet 5.0 that will run down most '99 cobras around.
But now my dad is making me build my camaro first. It should'nt be to long till its done but after that everything gose to the stang.
Thanks ya'll
