Default Ford Explorer Intake/heads for 1994 5.0

I've been doing some, I admitt not alot, research into these two items. I came here to get some more understanding.

I believe to have a stock fit I need heads/intake from a 97 or older. 97 and newer would require new pistons?

Would the intake fit under my factory front strut tower brace?

I'd love to get AFR 165s or something, but I dont have the cash. I was told this would help some and not set me back too much.

I have a 1994 AOD E 5.0, hoping with these, and a few other mods I'll hit over 300.

Still deciding on what chip I want to get, if you have any suggestions for that as well

Not new pistons you would need new headers and possibly depending on emissions on where you live would have to get them drilled and tapped for the egr port I believe. The intake looks somewhat similar to the intake on your car now so I think it will clear your strut tower brace.

The intake may clear as long as you don't use an intake spacer. Other than that, everything should bolt right on.
