Default Cat-Back system question? 1994 Mustang

Will a 96-98 MAC cat-back system fit my 94 Cobra?

I Phrased that wrong.. Why won't a 96-98 Mac Cat-Back fit my 94 Cobra? They look the same.

I have a chance to buy a used mac cat back for $100 and I need to know if I can make it work. i know that the mufflers them self's will work and the tail pipes are the same which only leaves the pipe between the h-pipe and the mufflers. For that price it would be worth it to custom make something. Does anyone know if that is the only difference?

From what I can recall the 94-95 and 96-98 exhaust systems are very close to each other if not identical. There's some differences for some companies and not others, I've seen reports of people putting 96-98 Cat-back systems on a 94-95 with no modifications but on the other side of that I've also heard of some fitment issues from others. I think the one major difference is the way the hangers are oriented. You will find that looking around some companies such as Magnaflow manufacture One Cat-back system listed for 94-98, but some companies list 94-97 and even 94-95. I believe if it doesn't just bolt up, the modifications to get it to fit will be pretty minor if anything.

Sweet dude! For 100 bucks I really can't go wrong. If it doesn't fit perfect than I can go Macgyver on it!

For $100 I'd do it without even thinking about it. Good deal right there. Post back in here with your results when you're done getting it on the car!
