Default JC Whitney MPG gauge ?

So I admit it..I'm a little heavy on the gas ..cant help it. I love the purr of the 5.0 engine. So I was thinking about getting something like this gauge which could maybe help me to realize how bad my habbits are. Has anyone ever used these things, or have any info on them? I'm interested in them.

Haven't seen one in years. Think it's basically a vaccume gauge but yes, it should help you. Lots you can do to help your mileage like anticipating stop lights changing and just taking off easy. I was able to get a normal 25-27 mpg with my '05' GT on the road by just taking it easy. Almost 24 with the Roush.

hm...so do you know any that would be accurate? Also I wanted to know if anyone knows what I can do about my guel gauge seemingly being very innacurate. Its the stock one. Do I need to get a new sender for the gauge...a new gauge..or both?

Yup, that's just a vacuum gauge and it really helps out with stretching your gas mileage.
The factory gauges are notorious for being inaccurate, if yours has a problem it could be anywhere from the sending unit to the gauge itself.

VDO makes one. Just pick off the intake manifold vacuum source. There is not actually a sending unit. The more intake manifold vacuum that you maintain, the better your fuel economy.
