Default 351w stroker swap

does anybody currently have a 351w stroker setup that they r running right know?2 me it is starting to sound better than trying to get a 331 to make 500 na horsepower.i am going to assume that the cost has to be around 6500 bucks to do so. Am i close, or am i way off! thanks for any info.

The 351 based engine will be easier to 500 hp, yes. And about the price, it's all about what you put in it.

Ask me why I ran "only" a 13.54.

I'm on my second stroker right now.

The first one was a stock block. It was well built, and ran great. Lots of torque, good drivability. I spun a rod bearing on the track one day. My fault, I should have payed more attention to the oiling system.

Now I have a Dart block and a Accusump. I like the Dart block for a couple of reasons. The cylinder walls are beefier. I can use less stroke and more bore. That allows higher rpm's. It also has priority main oiling. Not too worried about the bearings any more.

The Dart engine puts 470hp to the pavement. There is no torque curve - it's almost as flat as a table top. In a 2250# car, it's a blast.
