Default 331 1995 Mustang GT rebuild for $5000 ?

Guys and Gals,
I am trying to put together a build sheet and accumulate parts before returning home for my 3 weeks of R & R on the 2nd.

My goal is to keep it street able while getting the best Hp/Tq for the dollar. My budget limits me to around $5000 tus leaving. My thought is that a 331 Kit from D.S.S. would be a good step in the right direction. I was going to complement this with AFR heads, a Trick Flow intake manifold and a descent exhaust. The part I am unsure of is the Valve or induction system. If you could help me with the cam profile and what size heads would work best I would be grateful.

I do already have a custom tuner for the EFI side of things so that wouldn't subtract from the budget.

Also if you guys have a better suggestion on a combination of parts please let me know.

I love the Hod its a rare find I have seen on other like it.

The Air Ram is functional but I have yet to actualy test and see if it benifits Air flow.

I bought this car a whila ago and the hood was alread on it. At that time it wasnt plumed up.

Thanks

That kit would be a good one to get, or you could go with a Holley Systemax II intake, AFR 185 heads, and then this cam.

Comp Cams Xtreme Energy part number 35-518-8, grind number XE274HR. It has .555/.565 lift, 274/282 duration, 224/232 duration at .050 lift, a 112 degree lobe separation, and a powerband of 2200-6200. It works well with naturally aspirated, power adders, and stroker engines. It's very powerful and would work well in a 331 with those parts listed.
