i have a few questions about dyno tuning. when u get your car dyno tuned it increases the hp? and it will tell you how much hp and torque at the rear wheels? how much is it to get a car tuned?
I had my '05' dyno tuned when I had the CAI on it but asked the tuner to tune it back so I could run 87 octane because of a trip out west where the good gas was had to find. 95% of my normal driving was under 3000 rpm and that's where he really added the power, top end was not much different than before. The good news is that I could run the 87, got more power down low and better mileage. Cost of the tune is really going to vary too much from region to region but find a good one that knows Mustangs.
Dave
A dyno usually costs around $75-$100 for 3 pulls. The tune by itself is around $150, plus the cost of the chip.
A dyno tune for the computer does add power because it substitutes more aggressive settings than the conservative factory settings.

Ask me why I ran "only" a 13.54.

Only gets tuned once and then retuned if you do any new mods. RET is local socal tuner. he is in downey or GTR high performance in Rancho which are mustang specialists. I would go with GTR just look up their number in the yellow pages.
The normal maintenance tune up parts will be like they usually were, but as for computer tuning, it's done once. Should you make major changes like gearing, heads, or the like, then the tune has to be changed. It's made for that particular combination and if you change an ingredient, the tune has to change too.
