Default 1994 mustang gt - h/c/i swap help

okay, im looking to do a cheap h/c/i swap for my car. its a daily driver mostly, but will also be taken to the tracks.

im looking (hoping) for 275-300hp once im done.

i am on a pretty small budget...so i guess ill have to stick with some gt40 or gt40p heads...

now for intake i was thinking either a cobra intake or a trick flow top end kit... not sure if its worth to go with trick flow or not...

i know nothing about cams....but i dont think they are too expensive...so any suggestions for what i have?

thanks

If you are on a budget the gt40's are a good way to go. With a set of ported gt40 heads and a ported gt40 intake along with a matching cam you would probably be able to get 300 or just under it. Your best bet for a cam is to call up comp cams and ask for a custom grind. Get a new maf and throttle body and maybe some gears and you will have a pretty mean car. Its also worth it to look into doing suspension upgrades as well.

well if i were you i would get the gt40 heads and intake(ported) and go with a steeda cam and a tune. thats probably the least expensive way to get close to 300 hp

I don't know to much about the gt40p heads. I know they won't make that much difference over the regular gt40's though. It's just less of a hassle to go with the gt40's.

It really depends on who you have port/polish the heads and intake. I know thumper will do the heads for 700. I never got a price quote from him on the intake though. However I've gotten quotes for the intake around 150. Go with a good cam and then you should have a pretty mean setup.

If you want you can email thumper at thumper460@hotmail.com You can also contact tmoss, he is on this website, and he is the one who quoted me for the intake.

I am also curious to know what size MAF and throttle body to go with for my setup.

gt40s - cobra intake - steeda 19 cam w/ 1.7s

what you think?

will the 1.7s work without any modifications?? or should i just ditch the 1.7 idea?

thanks
