Alright I've posted a few threads in the past few days so I figured I should just put all those questions into one thread. Now my first question is how much horsepower/torque will I see with this setup. 347 stroker, port/polished gt40 heads and port/polished gt40 cobra intake, Comp cams magnum 270 cam, bbk equal length headers, o/r h pipe, slp lm1 catback, K&N intake, 24lb injectors, upper/lower control arms, complete polyurethane bushing kit, MM subframe connectors, FRPP 3.73 gears. I know the last few aren't for horsepower, but my next question is what kinda times can I see in the quarter mile? The car will also be dyno tuned. And my last question is what size throttle body and maf should I use with this setup? I know it would be better to run some AFR heads or Trick Flow, but I just don't think I can get that kinda money right now. Thanks for any input guys.

go with the explorer/gt40 heads intake i would put a 75t.b with a pro m/80mass air and calibrate for 24inj if you correct induction system on a 347 with a good exaust you will be very surprised at how well your car will respond you have the cubes now air and fuel oh yes fuel get a bbk fuel pressure reg if you dont already have one
Why would the explorer intake/heads be better? I've heard they flow a little better but it is worth having to go the the new headers and spending the extra money on the pieces?

any other opinions out there on the heads/intake? And where can I get the MAF and throttle body?

The explorer heads are the GT40P heads. They flow a little better and the spark plug being at a 90* angle to the head helps with flame travel. They are better than the stock GT40's but not worth the extra money of having to get new headers along with them.
And the Explorer intake and Cobra intake are almost the same (performance wise) you wouldn't notice any different. I think the Cobra intake is a little better anyways...

A wild guess (I'm not good at this but...) I'd say around 270ish running somewhere in the 13's.?.? The suspension mods along with the dyno tune combined with your engine mods should perform well.
Do you have drag radials or street tires?
Get a 70mm TB, but grind your intake to TB bore to match it. You should be able to do that with a dye grinder *very carefully. And make sure your MAF is the same size or bigger than the TB. So 75-80mm MAF calibrated for 24 pounders.

I have been doing a little more research on iron heads since they are much cheaper than aluminum. I really don't mind going with iron heads. I found these on summit racing.
I don't know much about either of those companies. Are they any good? Would those heads be better than ported gt40's? I could basically buy those heads for a little more than it would cost to port my gt40's.

Anybody know about these heads and if they are worth it?

I've heard about people using the Windsor heads, but don't know much about them.

I was looking more towards the RHS heads, but I don't know much about either company or the performance they are known for. Any help is appreciated.

Well now I'm lookin at the Windsor heads. I have found more information on them than the RHS and I would feel safer buying them. Do you guys think I should go with the Jr's or Sr's?
