Default 1995 Mustang Gt broken alternator mount. What next?

So i am changing my alternator and when i go to pull it out the front of the bracket breaks off. Now what can i do?

I did a little research and there are a few companys that make a replacement. Jegs has one for like 22 bucks. ???

Say for instince i want to go ahead and get rid of the smog pump and fix this bracket, What are my options?

Sorry i am kinda new to mustang scene. I thank you for your time and answers in advance.

John

sounds like you were realy prying or doing something wrong....unless it was already busted.

there isnt a whole lot of brackets out there for our sn-95s but i think a fox MARCH kit could be made to work.

All i was useing was a small flat head screw driver. Upon inspection there was a big air hole in the casting piece that broke off.

I called jegs and bought a bracket that says it will work with the sn95. I hope it will. I just dont have the cash to do the whole march set. At least the set i looked at was a couple hundred dollars. Maybe i was looking at the wrong set??? I will have more time to look this weekend.
Thanks for your answer.
