Default Cobra intake on 1994 Mustang GT with stock heads

Will a Cobra intake fit a 94 GT with stock heads? Probably need a 94-95 with elbow if it will even work at all. If so any other necessary mods needed?
Thanks

Check out the sticky thread at the top of the page titled Completed Cobra Intake and Ford Racing Valve covers at the top of the page. I did this last winter and wrote a post about it.

a cobra intake will fit stock heads. if you get a intake from a 94-95 you wont need the elbow because its built in. if you get it from a fox you will need the elbow.

Default Cobra intake on 94 GT with stock heads

Sounds like a Cobra intake with an elbow will bolt up to my 94 GT stock motor?
Thanks for the help

It will bolt up just fine. I have a GT40 (same as the cobra) intake on my stock motor.

x2 and if you have stock heads/cam, you can expect a ~7rwhp gain.

Default 94 cobra intake to 94 GT

Thanks guys for your replies! What about gasket matching and porting? Does it really yield as much improvement as I have read? Never done it before but would like to give it a try if necessary before installing or is the 94-95 Cobra intake fitment usually good to go?
THX

Porting the intake won't help you much with the stock heads. I'd spend the money on some GT40 heads instead.

Gasket matching does make a difference but mainly on modified engines rather than stock engines.
