What happens when you try to put it in gear? Does it go into any gear at all?
Does it just not move at all(the shifter) or is there grinding or some other noise happening? Are you sure you set the clutch throw out bearing properly? General rule of thumb is you need between 1/8" and 1/4" gap between the face of the throw out and the fingers on the pressure plate when the pedal is all the way out at the rest position. Anything more than 1/4" and you're not getting full release of the disc which would cause problems when trying to get it into gear.
Have you checked the condition of the cable itself? They are prone to stretching and even breaking, which again, will cause problems when trying to shift.

Give me more detail and I can probably help out.

Default clutch cable

well it will shift into gear without me even pressing down the clutch. it wont move at all.. basically it wont go into gear at all. so it might be the clutch cable?

Your saying that with the car running it will go into gear without pressing the clutch? Is this an upgrade, or a repair? Sounds like there is an issue with the transmission rather than a clutch problem? How was the car running before the clutch swap?

So it goes into gear and the car won't move is that correct? Are you shifting it into gear with the engine off?
With the engine running, you should not be able to shift it into gear without the clutch, if you can then something is major wrong inside the tranny.
If you are telling us it shifts into gear without the clutch when the engine is off, then that's normal. If this is the case, then the tranny would be fine and I would focus on either the clutch cable (being worn or stretched), or re-adjusting the throw out bearing (need between 1/8" and 1/4" gap between the face of the bearing and the fingers on the pressure plate when the clutch pedal is all the way out).

Give us some more detailed information.....?
