so i really dont know what is going on here. my first alternator went out so i replaced it. no big deal right? after about 4 months it started to tweak out and i found out that it was the voltage regulator. right now im on my third alternator and its starting to do the same things. should i get a performance alternator or would it do the same thing after a while? i dont want to keep replacing alternators every 4 or 5 months.

Yea good idea to check your grounds and that you have a good clean connection from your terminal to your posts. My car was cutting out recently and all it was was dirty connection.
Maybe get some advice on what alternator to get with your desired size pulley. No reason to go out and buy a brand new alternator to find out it won't handle the underdrive pulley.
