Go to Autozone and get the Actron 95-Older ford code reader.
96 and newer cars till 2010 all have OBD-II and i think everything 2010 and up are CAN, Everything older then 96 is OBD-I or OBD
Our cars are OBD-I.
Get New HEGO(O2) sensors. Only requires 2. Clean Your MAF, TB, IAC, and ACT. Get a new PCV Valve. Grommet, and Crankcase breather that goes under the PCV Valve. Make sure you have no Vacuum Leaks. If you havent had a oil change in a while seafoam your car then change the oil and then replace everything mentioned above, if you havent dont a full tune up in a while do it now. Autolite 25's, Plugwires, cap and rotor, and iget a new fuel filter too. add a full fuel system cleaner yo put in your gas, and put your chip back in. Disconnect the whole battery for a whole hour. Make sure you dont have exhaust leaks.
If that doesnt work you could have bad injectors or fuel pressure regulator. It could also be the computer telling the injectors to spray wrong but that would be the last thing to test. Do the simple and cheap first.
Good luck
