Default 5.0 piston ring size

I ordered 'standard/stock rings" from autozone, but the rings I got were too thick (the bore size was fine). And I took them back to autozone where they said they have multiple thicknesses, I asked the guy what size he had given me before and he couldn't say ( shouldn't he have known!?) Anyway, anybody know the thickness of the rings I need for my COMPLETELY stock internals?

they probably gave you 5/64 rings, fit older 289/302/351s. yours could be 1/16 or metric. need to measure ring groves to be sure.

Yup... 1.5mm, 1.5mm, 4.0mm.

Don't you like the idjits that sell you parts? They have no idea what they're doing, they just sell parts.
