Yeah, it's the American Muscle cheapo. It has all kinds of fitment issues. I sealed off the fender plate area with chrome duct tape. . And the rubber sleeve that goes from the TB to the pipe, just did not seem large enough. I finally got it squeezed on. I think I am going to get the K&N kit. It's more of a ram air, putting a big filter on the end of the existing intake tubing. At least they put the dyno reports on their website. It shows a 13 HP gain. I dont think you can find any better than that.

That's how I solved it too There's a reason why the factory calls the tock piece a silencer.

Some flowies or magnoflows will fix it.

I have the AM.com CAI "cheapo" and I think it works great. I really like the sound that it makes...
