Question 1994 Mustang GT Transmission Missing Gears

I have a '94 GT with an AODE. I was driving along at 50mph and the trans dropped to 2nd. Now it won't shift to 3rd or OD. I wasn't running it hard or anything. It just dropped. I have reverse, 1st, and 2nd, but it will not shift into 3rd or OD. What's the deal? Is the PCM bad? Maybe the ECU? I'm going to try and change the fluid and filter to see if that helps. Otherwise, I have no idea. Thank You in advance for any help.

Try getting the MLP sensor first. then go the expensive route. sounds like a solenoid but have no clue. second to 3rd solenoid maybe.

I doubt it's the MLP sensor. A bad sensor would cause random shifting of gears rather than being unable to shift higher than 2nd. The problem's most likely to be a either a stuck 2nd to 3rd shift solenoid or faulty wiring to that solenoid. I had exactly the same problem last year and it was the wiring.
