Default Stupid timing light!

I can't get my clear shot w/ my timing light. I cant even get a clear view of the pointer. HELP! I know this problem is kinda stupid, but thats exactly how i feel!

Are you talking about seeing the timiing pointer when you're adjusting the timing? If so I got on the passenger side and shot the light down between the alternator and the upper radiator hose. Just keep moving it side to side and up and down to get a clear shot at it.

Yeah, it's kind of a pain. I normally grab my upper radiator hose (with a rag if it's hot) and yank it to the right as I shoot the light down the left side.

Here is a trick that will help. Get some white finger nail polish and paint the "0" slash on the balancer. That way if you have an adjustable timing light, you can find the mark.
